Susan 'Sue' H. Skemp (Regional Chairman Award)
Sue has been serving as a Federal Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, Executive Office of the President, since her retirement from Pratt & Whitney in 2004. A degreed Mechanical Engineer, she is a past president (121st) of ASME, and is a member of the ASME Foundation Board of Directors. Sue is also an active member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She has been an active mentor to students of all ages, serves on the ABET Advisory Board to the United States Military Academy, University of Maryland College Park, and her alma mater, Florida Atlantic University, and chairs the Advisory Committee for the Extraordinary Women in Engineering Project. Sue has been involved with FIRST since 1995.
